Eagle Systems was selected the 2010 National Large Employer of Veterans Award by The American Legion. The award will be presented at The American Legion National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, August 28-31, 2011.
The purpose of the award is to recognize businesses with outstanding records in the hiring and retention of Veterans. The National Economic Commission of The American Legion expanded its Employer Awards Program in 1969 when it created an award category for employers of veterans. Each year, three categories receive nomination for this award: small company (50 or fewer employees), medium-sized company (51-200 employees), and large company (201 or more employees).
The selection of the awards is made by the National Economic Commission Award Subcommittee based on the following criteria: at least ten percent of the nominee’s workforce must be Veterans; the nominee must not be a city, state, or federal employer; the nominee cannot restrict employment to Veterans only; and the nominee must have been in business for at least five years.
Prior to being selected as the National recipient of this award, Eagle Systems was awarded The American Legion Employer of the Year for the state of Georgia. The Department of Georgia Convention will be held at the Dalton Convention Center in Dalton, Georgia, and the presentation of the award will occur on June 24, 2011, at 10 a.m.
Eagle Systems is privileged and proud to be a career destination for Military Veterans.
