EAGLE SYSTEMS EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER AT GREINER SCHOOL

Eagle Systems and Services, Inc. (Eagle Systems), a Lawton-based government contractor, started its first annual “Operation: Give Back” project at the Robert E. Greiner School for the Handicapped in Lawton on Thursday, December 8, 2011. The Greiner School has been operating in the same building for the last 45 years, and administrators had launched an operation of their own, called “Help, Donate, Serve,” to make repairs and improve classrooms.

Eagle Systems employees began by fabricating an awning over the entry door to keep leaves and weather away from students, repairing ceilings, repainting the front eaves and setting up the school’s outdoor Christmas decorations. After assisting teachers and administrators organize classrooms and the Greiner Thrift Store, Eagle Systems employees prepared angel costumes for the school’s Christmas program to be held December 15.

Later in the day, the employees threw a Christmas party for the students where each student received a bag filled with healthy treats and small educational toys.

Located at 10 SE B Avenue in Lawton, the Robert E. Greiner School for the Handicapped focuses on instruction for adults with disabilities. The school provides educational classes including basic reading, writing, math, personal hygiene, cooking, music and physical education.
